WESTFORD - William (Bill) F. Harnum, 82, of Cambridge and resident of Westford, passed away on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Lowell General Hospital.
He was born on December 25, 1937 in Cambridge. Survived by his wife of 61 years Frances Harnum; children Linda Mandra and her husband Michael Mandra, William F. Harnum, Jr., Phillip Harnum and Jill Primmer. Bill was a wonderful Grampy and B-Pa to his grandchildren Jeffrey, Jeremy, Janelle, Katelyn and Karen and adored by his three great-grandchildren Jacob, Gabriella and Aubrianna; also survived by his two sisters Priscilla Denehy of Windsor, SC and Dot Noonan of FL; several nieces and nephews; and very dear friend and buddy of 74 years Jack Norton.
Bill was a proud Veteran having served in the U.S. Army. He worked with his father and brother in their family business G.H. Harnum Rigging and later he began his own business William F. Harnum Rigging. He was longtime member of the Masonic Charity Lodge of Cambridge. His activities included his love for fishing, trapping and being in the woods. He was blessed to spend many of his pre-retirement and retirement days at his Cabin on Spruce Mountain Lake in Beddington, ME. That became a much loved spot that he enjoyed sharing with family and family friends.
