Richard M. Fountaine

HAVERHILL - Richard M. Fountaine, 61, of Haverhill, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at High Pointe House in Haverhill after a courageous 18 month battle with brain cancer. 

 Richard was born July 9, 1958 in Haverhill, son of Lois A. (Woodbury) Fountaine and the late Ernest H. Fountaine. He attended and graduated Haverhill High School in 1976 and went on to graduate from Westfield State University in 1980.

Richard was employed for over 40 years at Foss Manufacturing in Hampton, NH. He was an avid fly tyer and in his free time he enjoyed fishing with friends and family and taking annual camping trips to Charlemont, MA, Rangeley Lake in Maine, and many other locations. 

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by family members including his brother Ernest H. Fountaine and wife Nancy of Haverhill, sister Jean A. Hill and husband Randal G. Hill of Haverhill, favorite sister Diane DeCarney and ex-husband Paul R. DeCarney of Goffstown, NH; and several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, June 30, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Services will follow in the funeral home at 1:00 PM. Private family internment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery, Haverhill.
