LEXINGTON - Peter G. Farfaras, 75, a resident of Lexington, MA, passed away suddenly on April 29, 2022 at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
He was born in Boston, MA and was the son of the late Antonio and Mary Farfaras of Lexington, MA.
Peter was predeceased by his sister Anastasia and several aunts, uncles and cousins both in the United States and in Greece.
He is survived by his wife Phyllis Ferrante Farfaras, his son PeterRoss Farfaras and his wife Julianna, his brother William Farfaras and his wife Betty, his brother in-law Vincent Ferrante and his wife Maureen.
Several nieces and nephews: Troy and Lianne Farfaras and their children Nicholas, Ashley and Andrew; MaryAnn and Eddy Wills and their children JD, Christian and Jules; Victoria and Peter Robertson; Lizz and Nicholas Boraczek and their children Brayden and Isabella; Tracey Farfaras; Toni Farfaras and her wife Kerry; and Tammy and Mohammed Souhoil.
Peter graduated from Lexington High School in 1964 and Merrimack College in 1969. He was the co-owner of Farfaras & Sons Plumbing & Heating Co. LLC. He was employed for many years as the Assistant Burlington Plumbing Inspector / Health Inspector.
During his career, Peter was licensed as a Master Plumber, Journeyman Plumber, Master Pipefitter, Construction Supervisor, Oil Burner Technician, Home Improvement Contractor, Sprinkler Contractor and holds a Master Sheet metal license.
Peter traveled around the world with his family, driving on the back roads to see the places and meet the people that most tourists never see. He collected Military Vehicles, belonged to the Military Vehicle Preservation Association and enjoyed going to Military Vehicle Shows with his son. At 50 he bought his first Corvette and became an avid collector. He then joined the National Corvette Club. He and his son began going to car shows throughout New England, but at home he liked just sitting at the beach relaxing, walking to the Hillsboro beach Lighthouse and BBQing for his family. He especially enjoyed the casinos.. especially with his cousin Carmella.
Visitation will be held Monday, May 9, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 3:00 to 7:00 PM. Funeral Service Tuesday in Holy Apostles Sts. Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church, 154 Winter Street, Haverhill at 11:00 AM. Please meet directly at the church. Parking in rear of church. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery, N.
