HAVERHILL - Pete Deacon, 43, of Haverhill, Massachusetts passed away suddenly on January 11, 2022. He leaves behind a wife, Shelbi, and two sons, Axl (4 years old) and Ford (3 months old).
Pete worked at J.P. Licks in Boston, Massachusetts for 18 years. He worked his way up from ice cream scooper to the catering manager with many different jobs in between. He really was their jack of all trades.
Other family survivors are Pete’s parents, Barbara and Barry Deacon, Shelbi’s mother Kristi Bacon, Pete’s sisters, Brooke Lesser (Scott) and Morgan Spaight (Michael), Shelbi’s grandparents Patricia and Richard Cepela and many aunts, uncles, nephews and a niece, cousins and friends.
Pete was a wonderful father and husband; he cherished the time spent with his wife and boys. He was an avid gardener and loved cooking, reading, and fixing things around the house. Pete was extremely creative and always the go-to guy for solutions to any problem. He had a love for Kool Aid and everything Star Wars.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 21, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill, MA from 1:00 to 3:00 PM. Catholic Funeral Rites will be offered at 3:00 PM. Memorial Mass in Pete's memory will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 9, 2022, in St. Ignatius of Antioch Church, 999 Reading Avenue, Yardley, Pennsylvania 19067 at 11:00 AM.
