Maurice "Moe" Cadorette Obituary

ATKINSON, NH - Maurice “Moe” Cadorette of Atkinson, NH, died peacefully in his home with his family by his side. He fought a valiant fight to the very end, exhibiting the desire he had to spend every last minute with those he loved.

Moe was raised in Haverhill, MA and attended Haverhill Trade School where he excelled in basketball and was one of the top scorers in the state of Massachusetts. He was more than pleased to tell his grandchildren (and anyone else that would listen) that he was known as Haverhill’s “Little Big Gun” due to his prowess on the basketball court.

He was retired from Lucent Technologies where he worked in quality control. In the 1970’s he enjoyed a successful career in real estate sales with the King Davis Agency. With his personable style many of his customers became lifelong friends. He served his country for 14 years in the U.S. Army Reserve, attaining the rank of Sargent. Although, he was successful in his career, he would hardly consider this an accomplishment. His proudest lifetime accomplishments were his 55 year marriage, his family and his many, many friends.

His community service included years in the Haverhill Lions Club and Garibaldi Club. He coached youth baseball and basketball in Atkinson and was active in the Timberlane High School Athletic Boosters.

He was an avid golfer and loved to play with friends, but just maybe, he liked it more to socialize for long hours after a match. He was relentless with his humor and banter to his friends on the links. However, they somehow kept coming back to play with him.

He had a tremendous sense of humor and put on no airs. He will be missed by many.  He is survived by his loving wife of 55 years Maureen (Daly) Cadorette; children Michael Cadorette and wife Ada, Jay Cadorette and wife Beth and Stephanie Cadorette and wife Carolyn; three granddaughters MacKenzie, Maeve and Addison; loving in-laws, a niece, a nephew and dear friends.
