BRADFORD - Maureen (Riley) Ryan of Bradford, MA, age 75, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.
Maureen was born to the late Thomas Riley and Maida (LaPlante) Riley on July 15, 1946. She married the love of her life, Patrick J. Ryan in the fall of 1966 on October 2nd, celebrating 55 years together this past year. Maureen is predeceased by her parents and her son Rory James Ryan.
Maureen was a graduate of Haverhill High School class of 1964. Following high school, she attended Fazio’s Hairdressing School and worked as a hairdresser, until she had children and became a stay at home mom. Later when her girls were grown, she worked for Dr. Ronald Smith in North Andover as well as cutting hair at Lenox Nursing Home.
Always one to help others, whether chauffeuring a friend to a doctor’s appointment or helping decorate a friend's home, she will be greatly missed by countless friends and family members who were blessed to know and love her.
In her free time, Maureen enjoyed reading, listening to Irish music as she loved her Irish heritage, and going to the beach, where she loved spending her summers. Maureen also loved shopping, golfing and spending time with her friends and family. She spent many years volunteering for the Haverhill A.R.C. Also enjoyed watching all her grandkid’s activities.
Maureen is survived by her loving husband, Patrick; her two beautiful daughters, Erin and her husband Mark Rampulla of Haverhill, MA and Tara Ryan of Bradford, MA. She was a loving Nanny to her grandson Senan Byrne and granddaughters Bree and Shaye Rampulla. Sister of Kathleen Skafas and husband George of Haverhill and Patricia Riley of Brunswick, ME; also survived by several nieces and nephews and predeceased by her nephews Peter Petrou and Jake Horgan.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 14, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Bradford from 2:00 to 5:00 PM. Services will begin Monday in the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Sacred Hearts Church, 165 S. Main Street, Bradford at 11:00 AM. Interment in St. James Cemetery. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
