Louis C. Morneault, Jr.

PLAISTOW, NH - Louis C. Morneault, Jr. of Plaistow, NH, 80, passed away peacefully on Thursday evening, August 20, 2020 in Portsmouth, NH due to complications of a stroke. A native of Grand Isle, Maine, he was born on July 28, 1940, the son of the late Louis and Hilda (Marquis) Morneault, Sr. 

Louis was a kind and gregarious man with a thoughtful and giving heart. He had a work ethic like no other; he was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed every project he touched. He was so happy to pass his extensive knowledge on to his son Curtis, as they worked together for many years. Lou was enamored with his granddaughter Amelia and adored playing with her and watching her grow. He also enjoyed spending time outdoors, with some of his most favorite times spent on the water at the Albert Cottage on Lake Winnipesaukee, surrounded by family. Nothing made Lou happier than to gather with family and friends for great food, drink, and conversation. His loss will be felt by many, along with gratitude that he was in our lives. 

Louis is survived by siblings Diane Morneault of Daly City, CA, Arlene Lening and her husband Ed of Roseville, CA, Beverly Morneault of Fort Worth, TX, Donald Morneault and his wife Olive of Londonderry, NH, and Marie Purcell and her husband John of Plymouth, MA. Louis was also survived by Noreen (Peart) Morneault of Newton, NH, mother of Gary Morneault, of Waltham, MA, Curtis Morneault and fiance Sheri of Amesbury, MA, and Valerie Cunha and boyfriend Sam of Barrington, NH. Louis was sadly predeceased by his brother Paul Morneault of York Harbor, ME. Louis was blessed to have many nieces and nephews, as well as cousins and friends who were akin to family that he loved dearly.
