E. Hampstead, NH – Louis A. Auricchio passed away surrounded by love on March 30, 2024 at the age of 89. He was born on September 27, 1934 in Haverhill, MA and lived most of his life in New England.
Louis was a butcher by trade working at Shaw’s Supermarkets since 1991. He also was the owner of a family owned and operated business, Newton Village Country Store in Newton, NH. He also worked at Haverhill Beef Co and Primrose Super Market both in Haverhill, MA. He also worked at Publix Supermarket in Florida during the 1970’s.
During the Korea War, he was a cook in the United States Army stationed in Germany.
He loved to travel the country. He would research endlessly for these trips and his love of gambling with anyone who wanted to go. He also enjoyed camping, fishing and the ocean. At one point in his life he owned his own sailboat.
He is survived by his daughter Amie and her husband Mike Bart and their two daughters Kaylee and Kara from Hammonton, NJ; also his other children include Stephen Auricchio, David Auricchio and Nancy Auricchio. He also had many nieces and a nephew who he loved. He was also loved by his special companion of 27 years Dee Vietro of Melrose, MA; predeceased by his daughter Lou-Anne Auricchio, father Angelo J. 'Sarge' Aurrichio, mother Doris Baker Auricchio, sisters Ruth Marie Page (Baker) and Dorris May Page (Baker).
