Kurt Green Obituary

HAVERHILL - Kurt John Green, 62, of Haverhill, MA, passed away unexpectedly due to natural causes in the comfort of his own home.

Kurt is survived by his daughters / son in-law Kristina and Michael Parisi of Haverhill, MA, Lexi Green and Leo Begazo (long-time partner) of Tampa, FL; grandchildren Kyle Alliette, Michael Parisi, Victoria Parisi; longtime family members Patricia and Kevin Goodwin, Karen Green, Helen and Lauren Stump; father, Richard “Dick” Green of Chelsea, MA, mother (predeceased) Barbara Murphy-Green and longtime partner (predeceased) Earl Melvin, auntie (predeceased) Diane Green; sisters / brother in-laws Shelley and Marcos Acevedo, Kimberly Green Byrd and Michael Byrd, Laurie Green, Diane “Cookie” Green, Lissa Green, Tammy Luz, Micheale Green; brothers Mark Green, David Green (both predeceased) Jimmy and Michael Green, stepbrother Ricky and wife Debbie; son Michael Green and many loving nieces, nephews, and extended friends and family; loving father, grandfather, and friend to everyone where he would take the shirt off his back to help you however he could. Kurt enjoyed life to the fullest in all chapters as long as life allowed. He left us far too soon, although we believe he is now free from his ailments and will be forever young, just the way he wanted to always remain physically and at heart. He’s traveled each and every highway, and fully lived life his own way, Frank Sinatra made a song just for you “I did it my way”.

Kurt enjoyed many things, family, friends, pool, darts, camping, bonfires, fishing, music, movies, cooking his specialty meals which many have enjoyed- Indian Food, American Chop Suey, Eggplant, Banana Breads and Cheesecakes. He was overly passionate about his food and often logged a complaint about his distaste for something he ordered and often boasted about how he could make it better, and most times he could. Lover of many ethnic cuisines and other dishes.

He enjoyed many long rides on what you would consider the love of his life, his Harley Davidson Motorcycle, if he could take the bike with him….he would have. Dad, my hope is that you have the best last ride up in heaven and you find your way on the next leg of your journey, I know how much you missed the freedom of the road. You will be sorely missed by many and truly hope you realize that. One of a kind often funny and silly, laughing at yourself or your own one liners at times. Often late to every occasion and given his own time to show to actually be on time, likely due to getting ready/dressing to the nines, coupled with loss of time awareness!

Many have been blessed by his random drop in visits, nodding off on you on your couch for a little cat nap. Always curiously perusing your kitchen to see what you cooked to get a taste!

Your journey has sadly ended here on the earth but there are so many places you will go, time to spread your wings and prepare to fly.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 22, in the Driscoll Funeral Home, 309 S. Main Street, Haverhill from 1:00 to 4:00 PM. For guestbook, visit www.driscollcares.com
