John Hovan Obituary

GROVELAND - John B. Hovan of Georgetown, formally of Groveland, passed away on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at age 60.

He was the son of John and Ann Marie Hovan of Groveland. John was a graduate of Pentucket High School, class of 1981. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from UMass Lowell and a Masters in Computer Science from Boston University. John was Vice President of Software Development for Oracle.

John is survived by his three children, Ashley Hovan of Pound Ridge, NY, Stephanie Hovan of Georgetown, MA, Eric Hovan of Salem, NH; brother Scott of Groveland; niece Nicole and nephew Samuel of Groveland; mother of his three children Cathleen Chenel-Park; and several aunts and uncles.
