HAVERHILL - Jean (Lynch) Rubino, 75, of Bradford passed away January 25, 2024, in her residence with family by her side.
She was born in Haverhill on February 29, 1948, daughter of the late Lawrence and Marguerite (Ryan) Lynch (both of Haverhill).
Jean graduated from St. James High School in 1966. She was employed by Verizon for 28 years working in a variety of customer service positions before retiring in 2007.
Jean is survived by her daughter Alyssa and husband John Hardy of Boxford, son Jason and wife Keri-Lyn of Haverhill, her beloved grandchildren Emily, Justin, and Finn, brother-in-law Fred Sciuto of Bradford, and many extended family members. She was predeceased by her twin sister Janet Sciuto and her older sister Maureen Franklin.
Jean dedicated her life to her family. As a single parent, she worked tirelessly to provide the best possible life for her children. She always put their needs ahead of her own. Jean's ever-present selfless nature extended well beyond her children, she was quick to help family or friends in need.
She was an actively involved booster member for her children's athletics, which is where she connected with and became a part of The Notorious Nine. Jean thoroughly enjoyed their regular dinner outings, occasional weekend trips, and their Las Vegas vacation.
After her retirement, Jean focused on helping to care for her young grandchildren. She was happiest when spending time with them, attending their sporting events, and other activities as they grew older. Jean cherished her trips to Ireland and Italy with her daughter Alyssa, sister Janet, and nieces, Leigh Repucci and Tracey Sciuto. She enjoyed her casino trips to Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun with her sister, Janet, and their friends. She also looked forward to her bingo nights with her sister but mostly enjoyed the company and conversations.
