Gloria Jean (Moncousky) Valenti

HAVERHILL - Gloria Jean (Moncousky) Valenti, 85, went home to the Lord on Saturday, August 15, 2020.

She was born in Haverhill on June 11, 1935, daughter of Michael and Yolanda (Superbi) Moncousky. Raised in Haverhill and a graduate of Haverhill High School.

Gloria married her childhood sweetheart Camille “Spike” Valenti and spent 51 years of marriage together until his passing in 2007. They lived in France while Camille served in the U.S. Army and upon their return to Haverhill they started their family together.

She worked in several administration jobs in shoe factories and retired from the Haverhill Housing Authority. Camille and Gloria enjoyed summering at their camp in Maine and vacationing in the White Mountains. They were both CCD teachers at St. Rita’s Church in Haverhill and volunteered countless hours to the parish. She was a woman of deep faith and was a parishioner of St. John the Baptist Church.

Surviving family members include her loving children Lisa Valenti of Goffstown, NH, Nina Morrison of Haverhill and Anthony Valenti and wife Melissa of Haverhill; five grandchildren Daniel Valenti, Bobby Duquette, Noah Stachulski, Jacob Valenti and Gianna Valenti; two great-grandsons Dominic and Daylon Valenti; sisters Regina McConihie and husband Robert and Linda Turner; sister in-law Evelyn Taliento; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be privately held and she will be laid to rest alongside her husband in St. Patrick Cemetery, Haverhill.
