Deborah Swecker

GROVELAND - Deborah Swecker, of Groveland, MA and Arundel, ME. Formerly of Southie. Born May 12, 1953, Debbie passed away peacefully on January 21, 2023 after a courageous battle against cancer surrounded by family. Cancer took her, but did not defeat her spirit. Loving Nana, mother, wife, sister, and auntie, Debbie was so loved by all who knew her. Selfless, generous, and caring, her mission in life was to give all of herself and to love her family and friends fiercely. Mission accomplished! She made family her focus. Nothing brought her more joy than being with her grandchildren. Debbie was truly the light and life of any get-together, and the world just became a little dimmer.

Adored wife of Eric Swecker, doting mother to Kevin Swecker and his wife, Cameron Mackay of Wakefield, and Matthew Casaccio and his partner, Amanda Sasso of Bradford; loving sister to Maureen Franzoni of Pembroke; Gerry Tremonte and her husband Ron of Melrose; Bernie Cook and his wife Cathy of Braintree; Joseph Cook and his partner Sandra Kelly of South Boston; and predeceased by Paul Cook. Also survived by her soul sisters, Corinne Troy and her husband John of Merrimac; and Angela Linnell and her husband Bob of South Boston. And most of all, a proud and loving Nana to Christopher, Chase, Esme, and Callan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 1, in St. John The Baptist Church, 110 Lincoln Avenue, Haverhill at 11:00 AM.
