HAVERHILL - On Friday June 11th, the world lost a great man. Charles L. Sarcione “Charlie Wang” as he was affectionately known to his Hayes Tavern family, passed away after a brief illness.
Charles was born in Lawrence, MA on June 8th 1938 to the late Angelo and Sadie Sarcione. He was a graduate of Lawrence High School class of 1956. After high school he enlisted in the U.S. Navy where he proudly served his country traveling to many countries all over the world. Charles mostly worked as a maintenance mechanic until his retirement. He enjoyed having a beer or two or three with his special group of friends and taking camping trips with his best friend to the mountains. He was a loyal and loving father to the three loves of his life, his sons.
Charles is survived by his three sons Charles Jr. and his wife Lisa of Haverhill, Angelo of Methuen and Erik of Manchester, NH; his brother Angelo Jr. and his wife Shirley of Salem, NH; sister Constance of Andover; and by the late Mary Guilmette Sarcione of Atkinson, NH. Predeceased by his longtime companion Margaret Sarcione. He leaves behind four grandchildren, Aryana, Dante, Angelo Jr. and Anthony Sarcione along with countless nieces and nephews.
