Ann Winslow Wickberg Obituary

SALEM, MA - Ann Winslow Wickberg of Salem, MA, passed away peacefully on February 5, 2023.  Ann was born on January 15, 1941 to the late Armand and Dorothy Girard.  She was preceded in death by her son Eric Wickberg and her brothers Peter and Stephen Girard.

Ann grew up in Boston and was a graduate of Girls’ Latin school and Boston State College.  She spent her career as an elementary school teacher in Boston and Quincy.  Later she got her MLS and worked in the City of Lawrence school system as a librarian and library media specialist.

After retirement she enjoyed traveling with friends and family with trips to China, Africa, Great Britain and multiple river cruises in Europe.  When not traveling, she spent time on researching her ancestry and pursued her artistic abilities in photography, painting and learning the art of stained glass.  She was also an avid game player which she loved doing with friends and family.

She is survived by her son Edward (Ned) Wickberg of Beverly, MA,  brothers Jay Girard (Marie) of Loganville, GA and Tom Girard of Kingston, NH  and a much loved group of nieces, nephews, cousins and their families.
